I’ve done it again, found a fabulous deal on a set of 6 vintage chairs. There are five side chairs and one arm chair.
One of the side chairs has had a repair to the strut on the bottom, but it’s not a big deal. All of the seat caning is in pristine condition.
I’d love to get started right away but it’s a scorcher out there today, not weather to be taken lightly.
Ok, so any suggestions on finishing them?
It looks like a great project! I would probably paint them. White would be beautiful, but so would a light green... :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure whatever you do with them, they'll be fab!
Have a great day.

ReplyDeleteLOVE them! I would love to find a set for my dining room! You are one lucky girl!!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you decide to do with them!
How do you do it Mel?? I can't believe the deals you come up with. $16.66 per chair? And that's in Canadian dollars, isn't it? :) What a deal. Hmmm...how to finish them. I would have to think on that a while. What are you thinking? I'm sure they'll turn out beautifully, whatever you do. Hope you're having an awesome week and not staying up too late helping other people with their projects. ;)

WOW! Seriously...that's a craaaazy deal! Can't wait to see what you do with these chairs. Did you decide on a colour? I love these types of chairs bold, but maybe 6 of them would be a bit much...
ReplyDeleteOh I love them! I've been looking for something similar- great find!

Incredible find. I vote glossy black as well. Perhaps it's predicable, but it's timeless and will really show off the bones of the chairs.
