Well, I’m no sewer :) I struggled with it, but in the end it turned out pretty good. It’s not an exact duplicate, but good enough for me.
I started with a $20 storage cube, some burlap, drop cloth, fabric pen and some straps from a grocery bag.
I created the lettering using SCAL and cut a stencil out of acetate (just in case I want to make another).

ReplyDeleteThat's pretty stinkin' close. I had to do a double take to notice any difference.
ReplyDeleteKudos! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd, Bettina Lynn, I suggest using a publishing program, printing it off (very lightly or in outline, to save ink) and, once you get it the way you want it, trace it onto your stencil or tranfer. :)
Girl, you always floor me! This is amazing!!! I love Ballard but I love yours even more.
ReplyDeleteThat cube turned out really great. I've seen those around and they are so expensive.

ReplyDeleteGreat job. Again I'm new to this but what is SCAL and what is the acetate ? Is it sticky...and then you can peel and stick it on something else? So sorry to ask so many questions.
